HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP PERAWAT TENTANG PERAWATAN PALIATIF DI RUMAH SAKIT ADVENT BANDUNG

ABSTRAK
 Data WHO menunjukkan bahwa 86% penderita yang membutuhkan perawatan paliatif belum menerimanya, dan salah satu penyebabnya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan tenaga kesehatan tentang perawatan paliatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap perawat terhadap perawatan paliatif, serta mencari tahu apakah terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap perawat terhadap perawatan paliatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelasi dengan menggunakan tehnik sampel convinencel yang berjumlah 99 perawat yang bekerja di Rumah Sakit Advent Bandung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Oktober - November 2019. Untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan digunakan kuesioner The Palliative Care Quiz for Nursing (PCQN), sedangkan untuk mengukur sikap digunakan kuesioner Frommelt’s Attitude Toward Care of the Dying (FATCOD) scale. Hasil menunjukan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan perawat terhadap perawatan paliatif dalam kategori rendah, sedangkan sikap perawat terhadap perawatan paliatif dalam kategori sedang. Hasil uji Spearman rho menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dan sikap perawat dengan nilai p > 0,05. Kesimpulannya adalah walaupun tingkat pengetahuan perawat masih rendah namun sikap yang ditunjukkan dalam kategori sedang. Oleh karena itu penulis menyarankan agar perawat diberikan pelatihan tentang perawatan paliatif agar dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan perawat.

 ABSTRACT
 
 WHO data shows that 86% of the patients that needed palliative care have not received it properly, and one of the causes is the health workers have lack of knowledge and skill about the palliative care. The purpose of this study is determine the nurses’ level of knowledge and their attitudes towards the palliative care and to find out whether there is relationship between the nurses’ level of knowledge and their attitudes. The research methodology used in this study is descriptive correlation and convenience sample technique is used, with 99 nurses at Rumah Sakit Advent Bandung as the samples. The data collection was conducted from October to November 2019. To determine the knowledge of the nurses, the Palliative Care Quiz for Nursing (PCQN) questionnaire was used and the Frommelt’s Attitude Toward Care of the Dying (FATCOD) questionnaire was used to measure the nurses’ attitude. The result of this study showed that the level of the nurses’ knowledge toward the palliative care was in the moderate category. The Spearman rho test result indicated that there was no significant relationship between nurses’ knowledge and their attitudes with the p value > 0.05. The conclusion of this study is although the nurses’ knowledge level is still low, the attitude level is on moderate category. Therefore, the author has suggested that the nurses need to have palliative care training in order to enhance their knowledge regarding the palliative care.
