Abstract
Le Conseil canadien des ingénieurs (CCI) a récemment signé un accord de reconnaissance réci-proque avec la Commission des titres d’ingénieurs (CTI) française sur l’exercice de la profession d’ingénieur. Cet accord prévoit une reconnaissance complète au plan professionnel et il s’appuie essentiellement sur une acceptation mutuelle de la qualité des ingénieurs diplômés/professionnels dans le cadre des programmes habilités par la CTI et accrédité par le BCAPI (Bureau canadien d’accréditation des programmes d’ingénierie) du CCI. L’accord, visant principalement la mobilité accrue des ingénieurs entre les deux pays, est d’un intérêt mutuel important et il interpelle les grands éléments fondamentaux d’une formation d’ingénieurs, donnant ainsi des exemples concrets de ce que pourrait être une formation d’ingénieur dans un contexte mondial. Notre présentation fera ressortir les caractéristiques de l’accord qui s’insère dans un contexte mondial de mise en oeuvre de formations de haut niveau acceptables universellement.
