Abstract
유아기 미디어 노출에 대한 연구에서는 학습 능력에 영향을 미치는 긍정적, 부정적 효과에 대해 논쟁이 있어왔다. 이 연구는 유아기 미디어 노출, 부모 상호작용, 학교준비도 간의 구조적 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구 참여자는 한국아동패널 데이터의 5세 아동 1620명과 해당 자녀의 어머니 혹은 주양육자였다. 구조적 모델에 대한 통계분석은 Mplus 8.4와 SPSS 20.0을 통해 분석되었다. 연구결과 유아의 미디어 노출은 부모 상호작용과 학교준비도에 유의한 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 부모 상호작용은 유의한 간접효과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 학교준비도에 영향을 미치는 유아기 미디어 노출이 부모의 적극적이고 애정적인 행동을 통해 중재될 수 있음을 시사한다. 나아가 미디어 노출이 많은 유아들에게 성공적인 초등학교 준비를 위해서는 적절한 미디어 사용이 필요하며, 부모의 적극적인 대화나 함께 공유하기 등 부모자녀 간의 미디어 사용에 대한 방안을 마련할 수 있어야 할 것이다.
