French Abstract: La Professeure Nathalie J. Chalifour est specialiste en droit de l’environnement et consacre une grande partie de sa recherche a etudier les problemes juridiques qui sont lies a des problematiques environnementales modernes, comme le changement climatique, la taxe sur le carbone et les pipelines. Elle enseigne le droit de l’environnement au Programme de common law en francais a l’Universite d’Ottawa depuis 2003. De plus, la professeure Chalifour est co-directrice du Centre du droit de l’environnement et de la durabilite mondiale et a ete nommee a l’Institut de l’environnement comme directrice du programme gradue interdisciplinaire portant sur la durabilite environnementale de 2011 a 2015. La professeure Heather McLeod-Kilmurray est specialiste en droit agroalimentaire et consacre une grande partie de sa recherche a etudier les problemes juridiques qui sont lies a des problematiques agroalimentaires et environnementales modernes, comme l’agriculture durable, les delits toxiques et le droit des animaux. Elle enseigne les delits, le droit de l’environnement et le droit agroalimentaire a la Faculte de droit, Section de common law de l’Universite d’Ottawa depuis 2003. De plus, la professeure McLeod-Kilmurray est aussi co-directrice du Centre du droit de l’environnement et de la durabilite mondiale. Le 26 octobre 2018, Taylor Wormington, redacteur en chef des articles en francais de la Revue de droit d’Ottawa, s’est entretenu avec les professeures Chalifour et McLeod-Kilmurray pour discuter des enjeux connexes du droit agroalimentaire et du droit de l’environnement. English Abstract: Professor Nathalie J. Chalifour is a specialist in Environmental Law and dedicates a major portion of her research to study legal issues relating to modern environmental problems, such as climate change, carbon taxation, and pipelines. She has taught Environmental Law in the French Common Law Program at the University of Ottawa since 2003. In addition, Professor Chalifour is co-director of the Centre for Environmental Law and Global Sustainability and was appointed to the Institute of the Environment as director of the interdisciplinary graduate Environmental Sustainability Program from 2011 to 2015. Professor Heather McLeod-Kilmurray is a specialist in Food Law and dedicates a major portion of her research to study legal issues relating to modern environmental and agricultural problems, such as food sustainability, toxic torts, and animal rights. She has taught Torts, Environmental Law, and Food Law at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section of the University of Ottawa since 2003. In addition, Professor McLeod-Kilmurray is also co-director of the Centre for Environmental Law and Global Sustainability. On October 26th, 2018, Taylor Wormington, Editor-in-Chief of the Ottawa Law Review’s French language articles, met with Professors Chalifour and McLeod-Kilmurray to discuss the related issues that intersect Food Law and Environmental Law.
