Abstract
The MIT Press published the eBook edition of Economics in the Age of COVID-19 by Joshua Gans in just over a month. This article describes the genesis of the project and how the MIT Press team was able to produce a book on an accelerated schedule. It then presents a series of factors for other publishers to consider when deciding whether and how to embark on similar rapid publication projects tied to current events.
