Abstract
Seamoon House was an activist and writer whose political commitments spanned the lesbian feminist, anti-psychiatry, and disability rights movements in the early 1980s. Although she is not widely known, scattered bits of her correspondence and manuscripts have been preserved at the Lesbian Herstory Archives in Brooklyn and the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture at Duke University. Rather than simply recovering House from obscurity, this article centres the life of a minor movement figure as one strategy for following the transit of people and ideas between radical social movements in the late twentieth century. Abstract: Seamoon House était une activiste et une écrivaine dont l'étendue des engagements politiques comptait les mouvements féministes lesbiens, d'antipsychiatrie et de défense des droits des personnes handicapées au début des années 1980. Bien qu'elle ne soit pas très connue, des fragments de sa correspondance et de ses manuscrits ont été préservés aux Lesbian Herstory Archives situées à Brooklyn et au Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture de l'Université Duke. Plutôt que de simplement jeter un nouvel éclairage sur House, le présent article se focalise stratégiquement sur la vie d'une figure militante mineure afin de suivre le parcours des personnes et des idées entre les mouvements sociaux radicaux à la fin du XXe siècle.
