Abstract
La sociologique publique a pour mandat d’engager les chercheurs dans une conversation avec les experts, les décideurs et la société civile afin de mieux la soutenir. Cette approche mobilise nécessairement le chercheur à l’égard des acteurs individuels et collectifs de la société civile, mais aussi à l’égard de la visée morale de la sociologie comme science. Dans ce texte, j’analyse les enjeux éthiques d’une recherche collaborative sur les expériences d’éducation à la citoyenneté des enfants et des adolescents. Plus spécifiquement, j’étudie ces enjeux en amont de la recherche, c’est-à-dire dans la co-élaboration du projet collaboratif. Il s’agit de l’originalité de la contribution, puisque peu d’auteurs abordent ces enjeux à l’étape de la modélisation d’un projet. J’exposerai comment le choix du sujet ainsi que sa perspective épistémologique et théorique engagent les chercheurs du projet dans un engagement moral. J’expliquerai notamment comment les dispositifs de consultation ont été élaborés afin de respecter les différents savoirs des acteurs tout en tenant compte des rapports de pouvoir qui les lient les uns aux autres.
