Abstract
APRS UNE QUINZAINE D'ANNES pendant lesquelles la dcennie des annes 1960 a accapar une part disproportionne de l'attention de la profession historienne, ce sont maintenant les annes 1970 qui sont dans la mire de nombre d'universitaires. C'est dans cet lan que s'insrent Au temps de la rvolution acadienne : les marxistes-lninistes en Acadie, de Philippe Volp et Julien Massicotte, et Le Parti acadien et la qute d'un paradis perdu, de Michael Poplyansky. 1 Philippe Volp, postdoctorant en histoire l'Universit d'Ottawa, et Julien Massicotte, professeur de sociologie et d'histoire au Campus d'Edmundston de l'Universit de Moncton, sont des collaborateurs frquents qui ont tous deux dj donn une impulsion considrable l'histoire intellectuelle et culturelle acadienne. Au temps de la rvolution acadienne vise brosser un portrait du mouvement marxiste-lniniste en Acadie de ses dbuts ses derniers moments (p. 3). Fait cocasse : la monographie dcoule d'un projet qui visait initialement produire une sociologie historique du Parti acadien (p. 1). Dans leurs recherches, les auteurs sont tombs sur de nombreux documents et tmoins faisant rfrence aux activits des marxistes-lninistes acadiens des annes 1970, ce qui piqua leur curiosit. Ils vinrent se demander pourquoi la production scientifique sur la priode n'accorde gure plus qu'une mention (p. 2) aux m.-l. acadiens, alors qu'ils taient visiblement trs prsents. Poursuivant l'enqute, ils se sont rsolus rdiger un article qui, chemin faisant, s'est transform en monographie.
