Caracteres mendelianos: un enfoque integrador para su impartición en cursos de Genética
Bibliographic record
Abstract
The evolution of teaching models towards approaches that are ever more integrative is still challenging. Nowadays, Gene-tics plays a central role in explaining the phenomena studied by the remaining branches of Biology. This fact leads to thenecessary interdisciplinary integration in teaching Genetics, to promote a systemic approach in the study, teaching met-hods, and understanding of the processes in which genes are involved. The traits analyzed by Mendel in pea plants are tra-ditionally taught with a historicist approach; even when the students have access to current scientific literature that compri-ses morpho-physiological, metabolic, and genetic-molecular studies about them. Including the aforementioned informationin the teaching of Genetics courses would be a significant contribution in training specialists and perfecting the subject. Thepresent article proposes to expand the analysis of Mendel’s works to the molecular level, which requires that teachersbreak away with the existing oversimplified divisions that are generated as a collateral effect of the necessary fragmentati-on of knowledge when it is taught. That is why, it is advocated a more comprehensive and up-to-date teaching of Mendel’straits at university courses. In this sense, concrete examples are provided and Genetics topics are referred to offer feasibleways to achieve the proposal in terms of developing lectures, practical classes, integrating seminars, and term papers. To-day it is necessary to focus teaching Genetics towards the perspective of systemic thinking. The arsenal of knowledge accu-mulated by the Biological Sciences thus allows it. The proposal of integrating contents from the organism and the molecu-lar levels in certain Genetics topics will contribute to a more consistent representation of the role played by genes as part ofliving matter. If the genetic phenomenon is systemic in its objective existence, then teaching it should follow, consequently,a systemic approach

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
