Abstract
Strong images depicted through narrative, poems, and paintings illustrate the world of a teenager running from the Gestapo. This short story, narrated by Holocaust survivor Ida Hoffman Firestone, takes the reader through several frightening events of her life; fleeing her hometown in Eastern France, being separated from her family, and trying to understand the events that were unfolding Reviews 807 during her adolescence. It is a must-read for middle school and high school teachers who incorporate the Holocaust into their curriculum. Ida Hoffman Firestone begins by recounting the pleasures of her childhood and how it all changes when a scar-faced man from the Gestapo shows up one day at the door of her family’s apartment. The story continues to include an account of the imprisonment of her father at Drancy, the clandestine ways her family moves from one safe house to the next across France, the painful separation of Ida from her mother and siblings, Ida’s “imprisonment” with a family sympathetic to Jews, and her starvation and near-death, as she tries to survive the horrors of war happening all around her. Throughout the story, the poems that Ida wrote during various stages...

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
