Avons-nous affaire à un problème de répartition ou plutôt d' organisation lorsque nous voulons résoudre les problèmes du capitalisme ?Nous allons réfléchir à cette question notamment en revenant sur le récent ouvrage de Thomas Piketty, Capital et idéologie 1 (2019), prolongement du Capital au XXI e siècle 2 (2013).Comme plusieurs l' ont noté, son étude du capitalisme ignore la profondeur de la critique de Marx 3 et se cantonne dans le paradigme de la répartition.Étonnamment aussi, Piketty ne nous donne pas de véritable définition de ce qu'il faut entendre par « capital » et « idéologie ».En réalité, le capitalisme renvoie à un problème d' organisation de la production, du travail et des rapports sociaux, plutôt qu' au simple paradigme de la répartition monétaire. Aborder le problème par ses conséquences plutôt que par ses causesDans Capital et idéologie, Piketty illustre son propos sur les inégalités d'un nombre impressionnant de données précises et exactes, notamment en ce qui concerne la faramineuse croissance des inégalités dans le monde depuis les années 1980, la cause étant « l' abaissement de la progressivité fiscale 4 ».Selon lui, le capital est essentiellement une affaire d'inégalité ou d'égalité des revenus.Pour lui, le capitalisme renvoie au propriétarisme, c' est-à-dire, à l' accès ou non à la propriété.C' est à partir de la Révolution française que la « promesse propriétariste » se serait répandue.Il s' agit d'une étude très descriptive et factuelle qui ne cherche pas à mettre à jour les mécanismes sous-jacents de l' organisation capitaliste.
