En este capítulo, se realizó un análisis de los procesos o fases de la mediación comunitaria como alternativa adecuada para resolver conflictos desde un enfoque de Género, en la Republica del Ecuador.En este sentido, para que un proceso de mediación comunitaria resulte ser una alternativa adecuada para la resolución de conflictos se deben considerar las características del problema para lograr una solución a los conflictos: sus causas, intereses y posiciones de las partes.De este modo, en todas las fases de la mediación comunitaria, el mediador debe tener la capacidad para desempeñar su rol de facilitador a las partes, y de acuerdo con las corrientes de la mediación, incluso poder evaluar las posiciones sin irrumpir en la voluntariedad de la autocomposición.Para desarrollar esta investigación se empleó el tipo documental con enfoque cualitativo.El objetivo de esta se concentra en analizar la influencia que el enfoque de género tiene en los procesos de mediación comunitaria para el arreglo pacífico de los conflictos.Es por ello, que desde el Principio de inclusividad en el Estado Constitucional de Derechos y de Justicia, en el Ecuador se han dado cambios significativos en el rol del mediador y uno de ellos, definitivamente es asumir el enfoque de género para sus procesos.Desde allí, se pudo obtener como resultado que el enfoque de género como un instrumento de apoyo del mediador, aumenta las posibilidades de determinar y abordar las causas fundamentales que permiten adecuar con mayor certeza y justicia la solución del conflicto comunitario.
