Abstract
[서론] 여성 노인들을 대상으로 McGill과 Sahrmann의 요부안정화운동 프로그램 수행 여부에 따른 활동체력과 일상생활능력에 미치는 효과를 비교 분석함으로서 노인들의 활동력 증진을 위한 효과적인 운동학적 프로그램 방안을 제시하고자 한다. [방법] 본 연구는 65세이상 여성노인들을 대상으로 운동군(n=20)과 비운동군(n=21)으로 구분한 뒤, 운동군은 총 24주간, 주 3회, 일일 60분간 McGill과 Sahrmann의 요부안정화운동을 실시하였고, 집단별, 집단간 측정시기 및 집단간 차이를 분석한 후 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. [결과] 운동군의 경우 운동전에 비해 운동 후 상지와 하지 근력, 상지와 하지 유연성, 전신지구력, 민첩성 및 동적평형성이 유의하게 향상되었으나, 비운동군은 전신지구력을 제외하고 모든 생활체력 변인들에서 유의한 감소를 보였다. 일상생활능력의 경우 운동군에서만 일상생활동작(ADL)과 일상활동능력(IADL) 모두 유의하게 개선된 것으로 나타났다. [결론] 본 연구에서와 같이 장기간 McGill과 Sahrmann의 요부안정화운동은 여성노인들의 전반적인 활동체력과 일상생활능력 향상을 효과적으로 유도할 수 있는 것으로 나타나 향후 노인들의 신체적 자활력 증진을 위한 운동 프로그램으로 유용할 것으로 사료된다.
