Abstract
La promozione dell’attività fisica regolare nei bambini ed adolescenti ha lo scopo di favorirne un ottimale sviluppo fisico, psicologico e sociale. Tuttavia i soggetti portatori di una cardiopatia congenita sono spesso limitati nello svolgimento dell’attività fisica da un atteggiamento iperprotettivo da parte dei genitori e dei medici e dalle incertezze nell’individuare un programma di esercizio fisico adatto alle loro condizioni. Un’attenta valutazione clinico-strumentale della capacità funzionale di tali soggetti è quindi raccomandata per poter correlare le particolari condizioni fisiopatologiche delle diverse cardiopatie sia in storia naturale che dopo correzione con il tipo di attività fisica da programmare.Lo scopo di questo lavoro è di orientare nella prescrizione dell’attività fisica nelle differenti cardiopatie e di aiutare nella formulazione di programmi motori a sostegno della salute del paziente con cardiopatia congenita.
