Abstract

L’article est un résumé d’une présentation décrivant une intervention réalisée auprès de la Commission européenne. L’auteur est intervenu lors d’une conférence des enseignants de la DGTA en novembre 2019. À l’aide d’exemples tirés de la pratique de la négociation politique, il présente le nouveau concept de négociation de Daniel Shapiro. Dans des conflits émotionnellement et moralement chargés, il s’agit de comprendre comment l’émergence des identités et des identités relationnelles peut générer de nouvelles perspectives. Pour les conflits graves qui ne sont plus guère négociables, l’auteur nous montre l’effet des récits intégrateurs et porteurs de sens. À partir des concepts de l’Échelle de l’Être de Shapiro et des trois P de Pat Crossman, l’auteur tire des conclusions sur l’impact personnel des médiateurs et sur les phénomènes de résonance au sein des négociations. Ces connexions seront illustrées par l’exemple du Peacemaking des Diné (Navajo).
