AbstractThe use of fishmeal in fish rations raises economic, ethical and social concerns. In Mali, Moringa leaf powdercan be an alternative based on its composition and availability. However, a feeding ingredient may appear to bean excellent source of its chemical composition, but will be of little real value unless it can be digested andabsorbed by the target species.The aim of this study was to determine the apparent digestibility of Moringaoleifera leaf powder for two age groups of Oreochromis niloticus juveniles. The apparent Digestibilitycoefficients (CDA) were determined using the tilapia reference (R0) and digestibility (R0 - 30% Moringa - R30)leaf powder regimen in both fish groups. Fish were fed twice a day to satiety. Fecal samples were siphonedevery morning. The results show that both diets have a protein CDA greater than 93% and that raw fiber isindigestible regardless of the fish category.
