Abstract
Dieses Buch bietet grundlegende Hinweise und praktische Unterstützung für das Verfassen und Publizieren empirisch wissenschaftlicher Arbeiten, wie z. B. Diplom-, Bachelor-, Masterarbeiten, Dissertationen und Zeitschriftenartikel. Es werden die Stufen einer empirischen (Abschluss-)Arbeit beschrieben, wie Themenfindung, Literatursuche, Hypothesengenerierung, Untersuchungsplanung, Durchführung und Methoden empirischer Untersuchungen, die statistische Auswertung und das Interpretieren der Daten sowie das richtige Zitieren. Mit dem Harvard-System (APA-System und die Vorschriften der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Psychologie, DGPs) und dem Vancouver-System (die Empfehlungen der Editoren der Biomedizinischen Journale, ICMJE) werden die wichtigsten Zitiersysteme in der neuesten geltenden Fassung vorgestellt. Hinweise auf Besonderheiten der Abschlussarbeiten verschiedener deutschsprachiger Universitäten, zahlreiche praktische Beispiele, auch zum Zitieren, sowie Tipps zur optimalen Nutzung von Textverarbeitungsprogrammen machen das Buch zu einem sehr wertvollen Arbeitsbegleiter.
