Abstract
Se realizo un ensayo en una granja perteneciente a Agro-Avicola Palermo, localizada en el sector La Mancha, via Sabana Perdida de la Parroquia Concepcion, Municipio La Canada de Urdaneta. Corresponde a la zona de vida: Bosque Muy Seco Tropical (BMS-T). Se utilizaron 10.000 pollos de la linea Cobb o Ross, los cuales fueron distribuidos en 2 galpones. Los pollitos se obtuvieron previamente vacunados en la empresa Kiri, contra Bronquitis infecciosa (BI) y Newcastle. Se alojaron por el termino de 6 semanas, durante los meses de enero y febrero, en un galpon experimental equipado para el ensayo. El galpon con piso de cemento, cortinas para regular la temperatura interna, con 60 comederos para 1.000 aves y 80 bebederos para 1.000 aves. Ademas, un ventilador para 800 pollos. A toda la poblacion se le practico un plan sanitario identico. Los tratamientos evaluados fueron: T1: Acidificante organico y T2: Testigo. Se utilizo como acidificante el vinagre, a la dosis de 300cc/1000 lt de agua. El modelo estadistico utilizado fue un completamente al azar con dos tratamientos. El analisis de los resultados indico que el acidificante no tuvo efecto sobre la ganancia de peso de los pollos. El mayor peso fue logrado por el T1 (acidificante organico) sobre tratamiento testigo sin la presencia de acidificantes, sin embargo no se detectaron diferencia significativas (P>0.05). No se detectaron diferencias significativas (P>0.05) respecto a la conversion alimenticia, en ambos tratamientos la conversion fue igual. El mas alto consumo de alimento lo tuvo el T1 con acidificante organico y el tratamiento de menor consumo fue el testigo sin la adiccion de ningun acidificante. El mayor porcentaje de mortalidad se encontro en el T2 (testigo).
