Abstract
La rencontre entre les Européens et les autochtones d'Amérique a bouleversé I'équilibre ancestral, en introduisant une nouvelle logique d'action qui allait éventuellement modifier les pratiques usuelles des deux groupes. Ce bouleversement n'a toutefois pas été subi passivement, puisque les deux groupes ont activement participé à de multiples échanges tangibles et intangibles. Alors que I'Histoire s'attarde aux grands mouvements stratégiques, cet essai explore les pratiques d'échanges économiques, militaires et spirituels qu'entretenaient les autochtones avec les acteurs du régime français, afin d'y déceler la métaphorisation et les adaptations mutuelles lors de la cohabitation entre les Franyais et les Iroquois et Hurons au cours des 17ème et 18ème siècles. À la suite de Michel Certeau, I'étude des tactiques du quotidien permet de révéler la richesse et la fluidité du monde réel dans lequelles individus et les groupes évoluent et ce, rnalgré I'apparente puissance des pouvoirs établis.
