Abstract
Aunque varios estudios han investigado el ekphrasis la representaci?n verbal de una obra de arte visual, sea real o inventada en la literatura espa?ola, los textos de la vanguardia espa?ola un per?odo de intensa colaboraci?n entre artistas literarios y gr?ficos han recibido escasa atenci?n al respecto, que sepa. Este art?culo es una indagaci?n exploratoria en esta ?rea. Tanto para contribuir a la pesquisa, como para animar otras lecturas del ekphrasis durante la vanguardia, consideramos las Eichas textuales de Ernesto Gim?nez Caballero, una serie de poemas en prosa que compone la ?ltima secci?n deYo, inspector de alcantarillas (1928). Textos como Naturaleza muerta, Xilograf?a, y Fotograma comparten rasgos en com?n, principalmente la brevedad y un modelo pict?rico-gr?fico. En otros Dos manos sobre esferas, Peces sobre madera, y Viejo en banco, sentado los t?tulos evocan los de cuadros. Discutimos la manera en que estos poemas en prosa se valen de las t?cnicas del ekphrasis como la simultaneidad, la yuxtaposici?n, cierta circularidad discursiva, y el resalto del significante con el eclipse del significado para producir un efecto pict?rico-po?tico, una dimensi?n espacial que detiene el movimiento temporal de la prosa y crea el stilled movement identificado por Murray Krieger y Wendy Steiner como caracter?stico del ekphrasis.
