Abstract
La ricerca presentata ha lo scopo di indagare le problematiche relative al disturbo del comportamento alimentare in soggetti di sesso maschile con particolare attenzione al disturbo detto “reverse anorexia”, disturbo che porta soggetti con massa muscolare visibilmente superiore alla norma a ritenersi “piccoli” e muscolarmente poco sviluppati.(Pope, Gruber, Choi, Olivardia, Phillips, 1997). Soggetti sperimentali: giovani adulti (età media 24,5anni) frequentatori e non di palestre. Prima fase: approfondimento delle problematiche connesse alla percezione dell’immagine corporea in quanto elemento fondamentale nella genesi e nel mantenimento dei DCA attraverso colloqui semistrutturati sulle tematiche della percezione della forma fisica. Si è inoltre indagato il nodo emozionale soggettivamente esperito da alcuni soggetti data la fondamentale importanza del rapporto con le proprie emozioni nella genesi dei DCA. Seconda fase: somministrazione di 3 questionari: EDI-2 (Garner, 1991)in una versione modificata nella scala di insoddisfazione per il corpo al fine di indagare i disturbi del comportamento alimentare, Toronto Alexitimia Scale (Taylor e coll., 1985)nella versione italiana a 26 items allo scopo di osservare la capacità di riconoscere le emozioni, Trantor Emotions Questionnaire-TREQ (Rezzonico, Bisanti, 2002) per valutare l’esperienza soggettiva di tali emozioni. Sono state riscontrate differenze tra il gruppo dei frequentatori di palestre rispetto a quello dei non frequentatori sia nei profili dell’EDI-2 sia per quanto riguarda le emozioni che sembrano più orientate verso l’esterno, in accordo con la letteratura teorica.
