Abstract
ثمة عوامل تؤثر في تغير لغة الفرد منها: النوع (الجنس) والعمر، والعرق، والمعتقد الديني والمستوى الاقتصادي والثقافي، والبيئة الجغرافية، والمواقف الاجتماعية ... وتبحث الدراسة أثر البيئة الجامعية في تغير لغة الطلاب، وتقتصر على المستوى الصوتي، متناولة بعض ظواهره التي تختلف باختلاف جنس الطالب، وباختلاف مكان وجوده وزمانه، وتصل إلى نتيجة مؤداها أن التغيرات اللغوية (اللهجية) في كلام الطلاب ناجمة عن عوامل اجتماعية وأخرى نفسية، تقودهم إلى أن يختاروا السلوك اللغوي، الذي يتناسب والموقف الذي يعيشونه، والمكان والزمان اللذين يكونون فيهما، فهي تحملهم على أن يكونوا أكثر استجابة للأعراف اللغوية الاجتماعية السائدة في البيئة الجامعية. وقد أصبحت الجامعات في معظم الدول أماكن لاختلاط الجنسين: الذكور والإناث، وأبناء البيئات والطبقات المختلفة على اختلاف لهجاتهم، فنشأ عن ذلك أن اضمحلت – إلى حد ما- الفروق اللغوية البارزة فيها، ونشأت لهجة جامعية متوسطة، تميل إلى الفصيحة بوصفها لغة العلم، وتميل إلى اللغة الاجتماعية السائدة عند غالبية الطلبة.
