The relationship of serum phospholipids fatty acid composition with metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease risk in Korean adults
Bibliographic record
Abstract
This study aimed to determine whether fatty acid (FA) composition in serum phospholipids affects metabolic syndrome (MetS) and cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk in Korean adults aged at least 20 years. 722 adults were recruited. 116 adults of them met MS criteria (American Heart Association/National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, 2005). To examine CVD risk, we measured PWV by an automatic waveform analyzer (model VP‐1000; Nippon Colin Ltd., Komaki, Japan). Serum phospholipids FAs were measured by gas‐liquid chromatography. Compared with subjects without MetS, those with MetS had higher 18:1 n9, 20:3 n6 and lower 18:2 n6, 20:0, 22:1, 24:0 (p<0.05). PWV was significantly higher in MetS than normal adults (p<0.01). PWV was associated positively with 16:0, 20:3 n6, 22:0, Saturated FA (p<0.05). In contrast, it was associated negatively with 12:0, 18:2 n6, 20:0, PUFA, n6 FA (p<0.05). These results show that MetS may increase CVD risk by influencing FA metabolism, especially, increase of 20:3 n6 and decrease of 18:2 n6 and 20:0.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
