Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Catalan Poetry: Part 2 Anna Montero Anna Montero was born in Logrono in the Rioja in 1954. She studied French at the University of Valencia and now teaches at a secondary school. She has written seven books of poetry, including com si tornes d'enlloc (1999; as ifyou had returned from nowhere) and serenitat de cercles (2004; serenity of circles), where the poems translated here were published. She has also written Catalan translations of several French and Quebecois authors, including Baudelaire and de Maupassant, Aurelie Nemours and Claudine Bertrand. afternoon slowly passes amidst poplars in the twilight, summon language and silence and thedarkword slides along thepoem, the word thatcan only be said close to lips, talk tome. say: my silence is a river of dark waters flowing toward you. say: time ripens quietly and the instant will come and it will be one day among so many others. afternoon slowly passes amidst poplars in the twilight as the terse rhythmof your silence slowly fades. self-portrait sand that can't be grasped, ochre, froma tinydesert, an oasis who knows inside a pot of jam made from myrtilles. computer, diskettes, memory. immense forests inwinter the woman you were, perhaps trees . anthologies, collections, poems, the pen iuse towrite, author of moi, moi. i've inhabited your skin, your dreams. beyond you andme a nostalgia forold horizons insinuates itself. in the more uncertain light we'll witness thepassage ofnights and days, darkness and distances. we'll witness the procession of theabsent, as feargazes at us through thewindow. iVe inhabited your skin and your dreams and inour house we've built a dwelling or a river which carriesus toward other dreams which perhaps will dream us till the lastgaze. Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
