Abstract
azasker Hüseyin Efendi Osmanlı ilmiye geleneği içinde sıradışı bir yere sahiptir. Safranbolu’da başlayan hayat hikayesi, ilim tahsili için gittiği İstanbul’da farklı bir boyut kazanmıştır. Medrese tahsilini tamamlayamamış olsa da Sultan İbrahim’in hocası statüsüne yükselmeyi başarmıştır. Bu başarıya ulaşmasında hekimlerin derdine deva bulamadıkları sultanı bilinmeyen yöntemlerle iyileştirmesi etkili olmuştur. Zira bugüne kadar Cinci Hoca’nın hangi tedavi yöntemini kullanarak padişahı tedavi ettiği bilinmemektedir. Kimine göre büyücülük, kimine göre bazı dualarla tedavi etmiştir. Bundan dolayı Cinci Hoca olarak meşhur olmuştur. Sultan İbrahim’e yakınlığı sayesinde hem siyasi hem ekonomik güç sahibi olmuştur. Ancak sahip olduğu bu güçleri, Sultan İbrahim’in tahttan indirilmesiyle kaybetmiştir. Kısa süren nüfuz ve refahı dramatik bir şekilde son bulmuştur. Bütün serveti elinden alındığı gibi sürgün edildiği Mihaliç’te idam edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada Kazasker Hüseyin Efendi ve doğum yeri Safranbolu'da yaptırdığı eserler ve padişah tarafından kendisine temlik edilen köyler ele alınmıştır.
