The world mourns the loss of the beloved godfather of sports medicine Freddie H. Fu, M.D., who on September 24, 2021, passed away following a brave fight against melanoma in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. An energetic, dynamic man with a heart of gold, he was world renowned for his innovative advancements in orthopaedic sports medicine. Dr. Fu’s boundless energy, sharp memory, curious mind, and engaging personality were combined with a generous spirit and intense work ethic. He lived each of his days to the fullest, demanding the most of himself and those around him.
