Rencontrer l’enfant, lui accorder la place de sujet, lui permettre de coconstruire la séance. Comment cela pourrait-il être possible avec un élève présentant un tsa ? Les travaux de J.S. Bruner (1915-2016) sur les interactions de tutelle peuvent nous aider à esquisser une réponse. En observant les actions de l’enfant qui cherche à résoudre une tâche, l’adulte essaie de l’amener vers la réussite en intervenant ponctuellement et de façon très précise dans le processus de résolution. Cette action se nomme : étayage . L ’étayage n’est pas réductible à une aide car il opère des réductions de complexité dans la résolution de problème auquel est confronté l’enfant. L’ étayage n’autorise ni de faire à la place de l’enfant, ni de simplifier la complexité inhérente au problème posé. Notre recherche porte sur les conditions de transfert et les aménagements des interactions de tutelle et donc des actions d’étayage dans une pédagogie en direction des élèves autistes. Autrement dit, quelles sont, dans le cadre d’une situation d’apprentissage, les conditions de mise en œuvre des interactions de tutelle permettant l’émergence, le développement et le maintien des procédures cognitives nécessaires aux apprentissages ?
