Abstract
Introdução: O: A musicoterapia, uma intervenção baseada em evidências, que pode trazer a promoção do bem estar, por estar aliada a melhora de inúmeros aspectos emocionais. Objetivo: Inferir se, em pacientes em cuidados paliativos, o uso da musicoterapia, comparada a não utilização, contribui para a melhora da qualidade de vida do grupo. Método: Revisão sistemática de literatura. Foram utilizados os Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS/MeSH), em inglês, Palliative Care, Music Therapy e Quality of Life, e em espanhol, Cuidados Paliativos, Musicoterapia e Calidad de Vida, para a pesquisa nas bases de dados National Library of Medicine (PubMed), National Library of Medicine (Medline), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (Lilacs), Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). Após processos de exclusão dos artigos, foram encontrados 8 artigos para a leitura e análise. Para avaliar o grau de evidência utilizou-se o Grading of Recommendatons Assessment, Development and Evaluaton (GRADE). Resultados: A musicoterapia pode auxiliar pacientes em cuidados paliativos ao promover um maior relaxamento, bem estar-espiritual, fortalecimento da integridade, sentimento de bem-estar geral e melhora do psicológico ao tratamento, mas ainda não está elucidado o seu efeito na diminuição da dor e na ansiedade. Conclusão: A musicoterapia é uma intervenção para melhora na qualidade de vida global de pacientes em cuidados paliativos, pois mesmo que não gere melhora de alguns sintomas, como a dor, gera melhorias fisiológicas, psicológicas, espirituais e interpessoais.
