Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan amalan kepemimpinan transformasi guru besar dan kepuasan kerja guru berdasarkan pandangan guru di Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil di Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. Rekabentuk kajian ini melibatkan 181 responden dengan menggunakan kaedah kuantitatif. Alat ukur kajian ini adalah bersumberkan soal selidik yang mengandungi tiga bahagian utama. Bahagian A adalah demografi seperti umur, tahap akademik, dan tempoh perkhidmatan. Bahagian B pula amalan kepimpinan transformasional yang meliputi empat dimensi. Bahagian ketiga iaitu bahagian C adalah kepuasan kerja guru yang meliputi enam faktor. Model Kepimpinan Transformasional Slocum dan Hellrigel (2007) dan Model Kepuasan Teori Dua Faktor Herzberg (1959) diterapkan dalam kajian ini. Data kajian ini dianalisis menggunakan diskriptif dimana nilai peratus, min digunakan. Manakala Korelasi Peorson digunakan untuk menganaslisis data inferensi, frekuensi peratus, min dan sisihan piawai. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa tahap amalan transformasional guru besar mengikut persepsi guru Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur adalah berada pada tahap yang sangat tinggi. Manakala tahap kepuasan kerja guru Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur pula adalah berada pada tahap yang tinggi secara keseluruhannya. Sebanyak 3 hipotesis utama dan 6 hipotesis dimensi telah diuji dalam kajian ini. Oleh itu, dapat disimpulkan bahawa sebanyak lapan hipotesis tersebut telah diterima, manakala satu hipotesis lagi telah ditolak dalam kajian ini. Implikasi dan cadangan kajian lanjutan mengenai Kepimpinan Transformasional serta Kepuasan Kerja Guru di SJKT WPKL turut dibincangkan dalam kajian ini.
