Abstract
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan bangunan tampungan air dalam menyediakan air baku pada daerah kekeringan di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat. Katalog Desa Kelurahan Rawan Kekeringan BNPB 2019, menunjukkan bahwa Desa Way Sido Kecamatan Tulang Bawang Udik, Desa Margo Dadi Kecamatan Tumijajar, dan Desa Penumangan Baru Kecamatan Tulang Bawang Tengah merupakan salah satu wilayah kekeringan dengan kelas bahaya tinggi. Untuk mengurangi dampak bencana kekeringan, Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai Mesuji Sekampung memprogramkan pembangunan ABSAH pada ketiga desa tersebut. Dimensi bangunan didesain berdasarkan jumlah penduduk yang dilayani dan besar curah hujan harian dengan kapasitas tampung ABSAH sebesar 45 m3. Proses pembangunan dilaksanakan dengan skema padat karya yang yang mempekerjakan warga sekitar bangunan ABSAH yang nantinya akan memanfaatkan bangunan tersebut sebagai sumber air mereka.
