Bu araştırmada “Canadian Social Studies” dergisinde 2000 ile 2020 yılları arasında yayımlanan makaleler değerlendirilmektedir. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemi tercih edilerek, doküman incelemesi kullanılmaktadır. Araştırmanın verilerini, Canadian Social Studies dergisinde 2000 ile 2020 yılları arasında yayımlanan toplam 114 makale oluşturmaktadır. Ulaşılan akademik çalışmalar, yayın yılı, yapıldığı ülke, çalışma grubu, içerik, eğitim durumları olmak üzere farklı kategorilerde incelenmiştir. Araştırmada veriler içerik analizi kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda 2000-2020 yılları arasında yayımlanan makalelerin en çok 2014 yılında yapıldığı görülmektedir. İncelenen makalelerin en fazla Kanada’da yapıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Makalelerin çalışma grubunda yetişkinlerin daha fazla yer aldığı görülmektedir. Makaleler konular bakımından incelendiğinde, en fazla tarih ve vatandaşlık eğitimi üzerine yapıldığı bu konular dışında farklı konulara yönelik çalışmalar da olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Dergide yer alan makalelerde tarih ile ilgili konularının yer verilme durumları incelendiğinde en çok tercih edilen Kanada tarihi konusu ön plana çıkmaktadır. Dergide yayımlanan sınıf dışı öğretim ve drama öğretim teknikleri ile biyografi, metin yorumlama ve şiir analizi edebi ürünlerin kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda çeşitli önerilere yer verilmektedir.
