Abstract
Rumah adat Folajiko Sarabi memiliki kaitan yang erat dengan Kesultanan Tidore yang merupakan Kerajaan Islam adalah salah satu bukti peradaban Islam di masa lampau, dan keberadaannya masih tetap eksis sampai saat ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan konstruksi arsitektur rumah adat folajiko sarabi terbagi menjadi tiga bagian, yaitu (1) Konstruksi bagian atas, diibaratkan sebagai kepala manusia yang merupakan bagian tertinggi dan paling penting peranannya dalam struktur tubuh manusia. bentuk atap rumah adat Folajiku Sarabi berbentuk segitiga membentuk seperti topi kebesaran Sultan Tidore yang dikenal dengan istilah besu. (2) Konstruksi bagian tengah, diibaratkan sebagai badan manusia. Pada bagian badan ini terdapat Jaro, yaitu tiang dari bambu utuh yang dipasang dengan cara pangkal bambu dibagian bawah dan ujungnya berada diatas ini bermakna makhluk hidup ciptaan Allah yang tumbuh hidup dengan tanah. (3) Konstruksi bagian bawah, diibaratkan sebagai kaki manusia yang harus mampu menjadi tumpuan dalam kondisi apapun. Pada bagian ini terdapat hang yang berarti alas atau fondasi dari bambu berukuran besar yang menjadi tumpuan dari jaro. Pada bagian kaki ini terdapat hale atau tanah sebagai lantai, tanah juga bermakna kemakmuran, karena sebagian besar makhluk hidup bergantung pada hasil bumi atau tanah sebagai sumber penghidupan.
