Abstract
emily brady is Professor of Philosophy and Suzanne M. and Melburn G. Glasscock Director of the Glasscock Center for Humanities Research at Texas A&M University. She was previously Professor of Environment and Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh. Her most recent book is The Sublime in Modern Philosophy: Aesthetics, Ethics, and Nature (Cambridge University Press, 2013). allen carlson is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. His research interests include aesthetics and environmental philosophy. He is the author of Aesthetics and the Environment: The Appreciation of Nature, Art and Architecture (Routledge, 2000) and Nature and Landscape: An Introduction to Environmental Aesthetics (Columbia University Press, 2009), as well as co‐author, with Glenn Parsons, of Functional Beauty (Oxford University Press, 2008). He has also published numerous articles and co‐edited several anthologies, including, with Sheila Lintott, Nature, Aesthetics, and Environmentalism: From Beauty to Duty (Columbia University Press, 2008). julianne chung is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Louisville and affiliated faculty for the Linguistics and Asian Studies programs there. She is also Associate Editor of Oxford Studies in Epistemology and a member of the American Philosophical Association's committee on Asian and Asian‐American Philosophers and Philosophies.
