Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The purpose was to conduct a preliminary assessment of the utility of Kinect sensor to provide an objective evaluation of human movement using an oft measured activity of daily living (chair stand).Men and women between the age of X and Y consisting of healthy older adults (HE, n=185) and physically frail older adults (FR, n=55) were studied while performing the chair stand ADL task. All subjects completed two trials of the chair stand, conducted without assistance from hands. Each trial was recorded with Kinect v2.The coronal plane angle (CPA) was determined by a line transecting the subject's shoulder-center and waist relative to the vertical axis and used to assess the quality of the chair stand movement pattern.CPA was significantly greater in FR (34.1°) than HE (19.0°).There was a significant relationship between CPA and age (r=0.399,p<0.05).An optimal threshold for CPA identifying frailty was determined by a receiver-operator characteristic curve with a CPA of 25.0 ° providing the greatest combination of sensitivity (0.84) and specificity (0.92).During the chair stand movement, frail older adults adopted a forward lean position (increased CPA) compared to that of healthy older adults. The apparent advantage of this compensatory posture is to facilitate torso rotation while reducing lower-limb muscular effort during standing. As such the CPA serves as an indicator of reduced lower-body function in older, frail adults.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
