Abstract
Lombalgia se refere à dor na coluna lombar que pode acometer indivíduos de ambos os sexos em qualquer faixa etária e é considerada a disfunção da coluna lombar que acomete mais de 70% da população e tem na diminuição da amplitude articular e encurtamento muscular o principal fator etiológico, contudo disfunções neurológicas, inflamatórias e infecciosas também podem gerar essas dores. Baseado nessas evidências objetivou-se estudar um protocolo de tratamento para a diminuição dessas algias, empregando o uso do ultrassom e da liberação miofascial com a fnalidade de comprovar seus benefícios. Para atingir esses objetivos avaliaram-se os voluntários antes do período de intervenção, realizaram-se dez sessões de fisioterapia utilizando essa técnica e reavaliou os voluntários após o período experimental. As avaliações consistiram em teste de EVA (escala visual analógica) de dor, questionário Mcgill, teste de lasegue e teste de schober. Esse trabalho encontrou como resultados melhora signifcativa da dor lombar dos voluntários envolvidos e melhora signifcativa na amplitude de movimento da coluna lombar dos envolvidos. Com esse estudo conclui-se que as técnicas empregadas são efcazes para melhora das dores lombares.
