Ce numéro thématique de la revue TRIC regroupe des essais de professeurs chercheurs impliqués en art dramatique / théâtre dont le travail porte principalement sur la formation d’enseignants à l’université. Ils se sont réunis au printemps 2005 lors du colloque annuel de l'ARTC (maintenant ACRT) qui a eu lieu à London, Ontario afin de réfléchir sur la question de l’enseignement et de la transmission de cet art auprès de futurs enseignants. L’enseignement de l’art dramatique / théâtre n’est jamais simple et doit inévitablement passer par la pratique. Que doivent faire les futurs enseignants en classe auprès des élèves du primaire ou du secondaire? Comment une expérience artistique comme celle de l’art dramatique / théâtre ouvre-t-elle à une expérience singulière? Quels sont les défis qui attendent les futurs enseignants quand ils seront devant une classe de 25 ou de 30 élèves? Quelles seront les stratégies retenues pour que les élèves découvrent cet art à travers des personnages, des récits et des fictions sans oublier le plaisir du jeu? Voilà des questions auxquelles les auteurs ont tenté de répondre selon divers points de vue.
