Abstract
Je fus expose, au cours de trois annes de travail salari et militant au sein d'associations de dfense de droits de personnes locataires, une souffrance silencieuse rvle par des personnes aux prises avec des problmatiques locatives. Ces tmoignages me poussrent consacrer mes tudes doctorales en sant et socit sur la question du vcu locatif conflictuel et de ses rpercussions sur la sant psychosociale des personnes locataires. l'origine de mon intrt pour ma thse, mon parcours d'implication dans le milieu de dfense de droits de personnes locataires se retrouva rapidement la cible des critiques remettant en cause mon objectivit et, plus svrement, ma capacit de produire des connaissances scientifiques. Le prsent article tentera de dconstruire une telle apprhension de la recherche en dmontrant qu'il est possible de s'engager dans la production de connaissances scientifiques tout en s'impliquant dans des luttes sociales revendicatrices d'une socit plus juste et galitaire.
