Avant-Propos des exclus, des tres que l'on marginalise. L'criture monettienne se prsente ainsi comme une attitude non sectaire et ouverte. Dans Un jardin dans la nuit, un recueil de contes et de pomes paru en 2001, il y aurait en ce sens, selon Boisclair, une potique de la vulnrabilit . Dans Le lieu commun revisit dans L o tait ici d'Hlne Monette , Nicole Ct souligne pour sa part, dans une lecture de cet autre recueil paru en 2011, la prsence marque du lieu commun que Monette se plat trafiquer pour lui insuffler une nouvelle vie , intgrant pour ce faire l'oralit la posie, tout en amnageant une distance critique face la tradition. Enfin, dans Autour d'Unless : notes et carnets , Patricia Godbout utilise le riche matriel gntique relatif l'criture de ce roman paru en 1995 que contient le fonds pour explorer l'atelier d'criture de Monette. Les carnets montrent tout le travail cratif en amont fait par la romancire. Des dessins, des attributs spcifiques chaque personnage, y foisonnent. Ce numro des Cahiers est une invitation lance la communaut des chercheuses et des chercheurs poursuivre l'tude des oeuvres de Monette et de Dupr, la lumire notamment de leurs prcieux fonds d'archives.
