La formation doctorale face aux défis du 21e siècle : regard sur le contexte québécois

Abstract
La diversification de l’employabilité des diplômés constitue désormais un point crucial de la formation doctorale. Au Québec, si les orientations gouvernementales soutiennent et reconnaissent le potentiel de cette formation dans un contexte d’économie du savoir, force est de constater dans les faits un certain décalage qui questionne l’adéquation des compétences développées au doctorat face aux défis du 21e siècle. Ce questionnement implique les transformations liées à l’économie du savoir et l’émergence du modèle de la triple hélice. C’est dans ce cadre conceptuel que sera analysée la problématique abordée dans cet article à partir des résultats d’une étude réalisée auprès de titulaires de doctorat et de responsables d’organisations. Cette recherche basée sur une enquête par questionnaire souligne un écart de perceptions entre les compétences développées au doctorat et celles recherchées par les organisations sur trois points majeurs : la gestion et l’encadrement, la collaboration et le partenariat et l’adaptabilité.
