Abstract
This issue marks the final edition of Paediatrics & Child Health to be published by Pulsus Group Inc. The Journal has been sold to the Canadian Paediatric Society. At 21 years of age, a person is no longer a child and neither is a Journal an upstart. When I launched this Journal, I could be referred to as being ‘youngish’. Today, as I near the end of my 7th decade, not so much. I feel the time has come to let my children fly away – both my biological ones, and those I created out of paper and ideas. Paediatrics & Child Health is an ‘adult’, a successful one, healthy and full of vigour. But it needs a mentor, to elevate it to the next, perhaps international, stage. Who could be a better mentor than those who have guided and nourished it on its way to adulthood – the Canadian Paediatric Society? Of course, I am reluctant to let go, just like I try to keep my children under my wings forever, but I know the time has come to let go, pass the torch and believe my creation will continue to thrive. I am extremely proud and thankful that, despite the initial growing pains and continued financial struggles, the Journal survived all these years. It was mainly because of the unrelenting efforts of the Pulsus staff and editors, who were able to fulfill the high standards set by the Society. Thank you! I say ‘fare well' to the ‘child' that contributes so much to the health of children.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
