Abstract
A fter visits to the unique venues of Montreal, Quebec and Bloomington, Indiana, the American Peptide Society brings its 22 nd Symposium back to San Diego.The theme of this years meeting ''Building Bridges'' symbolizes the important role that peptide science currently plays in so many other disciplines and explores the potential impact peptides can make in scientific fields that have yet to realize the utility of these wonderful molecules.The chairs of this year's meeting would like to extent a warm invitation to join us for, what promises to be, an outstanding event.The Symposium will bring together investigators of varying backgrounds, with the goal of stimulating discussion, and catalyzing multidisciplinary collaborations in order to push the frontiers of peptide science.Early career investigators will enjoy a round-table professional development luncheon, poster competitions, the opportunity to give invited oral presentations with a chance to win one of several Bert Schram Young Investigator Awards.All attendees will enjoy outstanding lectures given by celebrated scientists as well as up-and coming stars.A venue, Sheraton Hotel and Marina on Harbor Island, has been carefully selected to facilitate scientific interaction by enabling the mixing of posters, exhibitors and social and professional networking within 27,000 square feet of common space situated alongside the beautiful San Diego Harbor.Exhibitors will enjoy high traffic volume from the poster sessions as well as lunch sessions, where attendees will eat their symposium-provided lunches at round-top tables mixed amongst the exhibitors.The main lecture auditorium
