Cet article vise à discuter des défis à la fois épistémologique, théorique et méthodologique liés à la mise en place d’une procédure expérimentale de communication pour agir sur les comportements en organisation; la communication engageante. La tentative de produire de l’engagement auprès d’un groupe de cadres administratifs en matière d’intégrité, une des valeurs cardinales revendiquée par l’organisation, a montré que sa mise en action est indissociable du contexte, de sa représentation professionnelle et de l’autorité qui l’institutionnalise. Le propos est illustré à travers une recherche-intervention menée dans une administration publique québécoise de plus de 20 000 employés
