Abstract
Enracinée dans la notion traditionnelle jungienne d’âme, la pratique notionnelle est une approche psychothérapique dans laquelle la pratique de la théorie, ou mieux, l’art de théoriser, joue un rôle central dans tous les aspects du processus thérapeutique. Alors que la plupart des psychologies sont basées sur quelque chose d’extérieur à la psyché, ou sur des phénomènes psychiques particuliers considérés comme ayant une signification universelle, la pratique notionnelle est liée à une attitude analytique qui est pleinement en accord avec l’intuition de Jung concernant l’absence d’un point d’observation archimédien sur cette discipline, extérieur ou transcendant à la psyché. De même que Jung a dû apprendre que l’âme ne pouvait pas être l’objet de son jugement et de sa connaissance, mais, à l’inverse, que son jugement et sa connaissance étaient les objets de son âme, de même chaque jour dans nos pratiques, lorsque nous saisissons cette énigme sous ses myriades de formes, nous nous initions à la subtilité conceptuelle d’un esprit véritablement psychologique.
