Abstract
Pariwisata merupakan salah satu sektor yang menyumbang terhadap pendapatan sebuah daerah. Kegiatan kepariwisataan bukan hanya memberikan dampak positif bagi objek wisatanya saja, tetapi hal ini akan terkait dengan sektor-sektor lain pendukung pariwisata (akomodasi, kuliner dan penyedia jasa lainnya). Salah satu Nagari/ desa yang mulai mengembangkan pariwisata di Sumatra Barat adalah Nagari Sikabu-kabu Tanjung Haro Padang Panjang (SITAPA), Kecamatan Luak, Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota yang terkenal dengan wisata alamnya seperti Panorama Alam Talang dan Kayu Kolek. Perkembangan objek wisata ini juga tidak lepas dari peran kelompok sadar wisata (pokdarwis) setempat dan kelompok berkepentingan lainnya. Adapun tujuan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kapasitas kelompok sadar wisata di bidang pengelolaan wisata di Nagari Sitapa dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan Community Based Tourism (CBT) dan sasarannya diberikan kepada Kelompok Sadar Wisata. Dengan diterapkannya CBT dalam pengembangan pariwisata, diharapkan masyarakat dan pihak-pihak berkepentingan lainnya tetap dapat mengembangkan sektor pariwisata tanpa banyak merubah keadaan lingkungan yang sudah ada dan menjamin objek wisata tetap alami tanpa banyak melakukan perubahan-perubahan yang akan menyebabkan kerusakan pada lingkungan sekitarnya. Beberapa strategi yang dapat dilaksanakan adalah dengan memaksimalkan potensi-potensi alam seperti menyediakan outbound dan camping ground, serta mempersiapkan industri pendukung (UMKM) untuk dapat memberikan eduwisata kepada para wisatawan.
