Abstract
Artykuł poświęcono analizie dyskusji przedstawicieli kanadyjskich elit politycznych i brytyjskiego kierownictwa politycznego dotyczących wizji przez nich problemu współpracy Wielkiej Brytanii i Kanady w przemyśle obronnym na przełomie XIX i XX wieku.Autor zwraca uwagę na problemy tworzenia imperialnego systemu bezpieczeństwa zbiorowego i próby przyciągnięcia do niego Kanady.Przeanalizowano główne etapy porozumień między Metropolią a dominium, scharakteryzowano istotę sprzeczności między stronami, skoncentrowano się na konferencjach kolonialnych (imperialnych) i konfliktach wojskowych, które stały się okazją do praktycznej realizacji tego problemu.Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na problemy współpracy wojskowej Wielkiej Brytanii i Kanady w czasie II wojny burskiej (1899)(1900)(1901)(1902).Podkreślono także ewolucję kanadyjskiej wizji kluczowych kwestii obrony cesarskiej od bierności i obojętności do zainteresowania kwestią zbiorowego bezpieczeństwa cesarskiego, czemu towarzyszył antagonizm kanadyjskich elit politycznych.
