INTRODUÇÃO: A COTESI - Companhia de Têxteis Sintéticos, S.A, em Março de 2020, elaborou um Plano de Contingência que contem diversas medidas preventivas para fazer face ao surto epidémico da infeção por SARS-CoV-2, seguindo as orientações da DGS (Direção Geral de Saúde). Este Plano foi elaborado pela equipa de Segurança no Trabalho em colaboração com o Serviço de Saúde Ocupacional (SSO). OBJETIVO: Divulgar os resultados decorrentes da aplicação de um Plano de Contingência, elaborado no âmbito da prevenção da infeção pelo SARS-CoV-2, dirigido a trabalhadores de uma empresa têxtil. METODOLOGIA: Estudo de prevalência, descritivo e retrospetivo, reportado entre março de 2020 e fevereiro de 2021, realizado na COTESI na sequência da aplicação de um Plano de Contingência. RESULTADO: Num total de 770 trabalhadores, apenas 84 contraíram a infeção por SARS-CoV-2, e desses, 16 referiram que a infeção foi adquirida em meio laboral. CONCLUSÃO: Diante dos resultados, pôde-se verificar que a implementação de um Plano de Contingência foi eficaz na prevenção da propagação da infeção.
