Dor em mulheres menopausadas: Prevalência, características sensoriais e discriminativas da dor e qualidade de vida

Abstract
Introdução: A trajetória da mulher é marcada pela menopausa, fase após a transição do período reprodutivo ao não reprodutivo, ou pré-menopausa e pós-menopausa. Essas mudanças estão associadas a um conjunto de manifestações multiorgânicas que, a curto, médio ou longo prazo, interferem na vida e saúde. Objetivo: Neste estudo buscou-se investigar a prevalência de dor crônica em um grupo de mulheres na menopausa, bem como as características sensoriais e discriminativas da dor e o impacto desta na qualidade de vida das mesmas. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma pesquisa quantitativa transversal, utilizando um questionário sociodemográfico, Escala Visual Analógica, questionário de McGill de dor e o World Health Organization Quality of Life-bref. Resultados: Foram entrevistadas 22 mulheres, separadas em dois grupos distintos: Grupo Docente (DC) e Grupo Serviços Gerais (GSD). Em relação à presença de dor, 70% do GD e 83% do GSG referem ter dor crônica. Já nas características sensoriais e discriminativas, o aspecto afetivo-motivacional foi o mais alterado. Quanto à qualidade de vida, as facetas “domínio físico” e “domínio meio ambiente” foram as que se apresentaram com menor satisfação pelos grupos. Conclusão: Observaram-se valores baixos de percepção de dor, principalmente no GSG. Os resultados indicam grande impacto negativo da dor sobre suas capacidades de manter a produção laboral e atividades sociais. Quanto à qualidade de vida, as facetas “domínio físico” e “domínio meio ambiente” foram os que se apresentaram com menor satisfação pelos grupos.
