Abstract
XIX. yüzyılın ilk çeyreğinin Osmanlı merkezi devlet otoritesi açısından oldukça kötü bir dönem olduğu bilinmektedir. Çünkü bu dönemde taşrada birtakım güçler türeyerek kendi başına buyruk olmaya ve devlete kafa tutmaya başlamışlardır. Bu kişiler aynı zamanda bulundukları bölgelerde halka her türlü zulmü de yapar hale gelmişlerdir. Böyle olunca da söz konusu bölgelerde devlet ve toplum düzeni altüst olmuştur. II. Mahmut’la birlikte devlet, bu zümre mensuplarına karşı mücadele bayrağını açacak ve yok olmaya başlayan merkezî devlet otoritesini yeniden tesis edecektir. Belirtilen zaman diliminde bahsedilen sürecin yaşandığı yerlerden birisi de Burdur ve çevresindeki kazalardır. Bu bölgede toplumsal düzenin alt üst olmasına sebep olan kişi ise söz konusu birimleri içersinde barındıran Tirkemiş hassının voyvodası olan Kızılhisarlı Ebubekir Ağa ve onun kazalara atadığı ayanları ile diğer adamlarıdır. II. Mahmut, başlattığı mücadele sürecinin sonunda bu kişilerin de hakkından gelerek bölgede yok olan devlet ve toplum düzenini yeniden tesis edecektir
