Abstract
Alors que la bande dessinée du réel explose depuis plus de deux décennies dans le marché de la bande dessinée, elle s’est longtemps bornée au témoignage ou reportage. S’il a toujours existé des exemples de vulgarisation scientifique, la volonté d’une approche directement scientifique mêlant chercheur et auteur est assez récente. Des collections dédiées se sont créées avec pour objectif d’appliquer la méthode scientifique à des travaux de bande dessinée, qu’il s’agisse de sciences humaines (La Découverte, Sociorama…) ou plus rarement de sciences dures (Octopus, parfois la Petite bédéthèque des savoirs). Depuis cette création certains auteurs produisent particulièrement dans ce champ, voire se présentent directement comme spécialisés dans la vulgarisation scientifique. De leurs côtés des chercheurs adapten directement leurs travaux en bande dessinée, en tentant d'y appliquer la même rigueur universitaire à leurs articles. Entre faciliation graphiques et recherche en bande dessinées, différents profils d'auteurs de la recherche en BD se dessine. En s'appuyant sur une étude du corpus disponible et des entretiens avec plusieurs auteurices (Héloïse Chochois, Pochep, Martin PM, Emannuelle Dufour et Pierre Nocérino) l'article tente d'en dresser une typologie, les enjeux qui sous-tendent les différents profils d'auteurs et de mettre à jour leurs approches et façon de mettre en place cette recherche en bande dessinée.
