/ Quelques éléments peuvent être extraits des résultats de nos travaux menés dans le cadre du programme Paysages et développement durable et traduits à l'attention des parties prenantes de l'action publique. En particulier, nous invitons à repenser la façon de formuler certains problèmes : l'objectif de l' « acceptabilité sociale » mériterait d'être dépassé, afin d'envisager les conflits sociaux non comme paralysants mais comme tremplins vers des dynamiques sociales nourries de la capacité réflexive du « public ». Nous invitons également à renoncer au mythe selon lequel un projet d'aménagement bien conduit sur la forme serait un projet ne suscitant pas de contestations : la question de la territorialisation de la politique publique doit être examinée avec soin. Enfin, nous examinons comment pourraient émerger des pratiques nouvelles visant à ce que les projets soient élaborés en associant de multiples participants.
